[Education] Rain

The Essay is wrecking my face in. I've put in solid work, I'm trying my hardest. But some things never change.

This week has been a bit brutal. The final news show was had, and it went off without a hitch! ...On the seventh take. The day we filmed was particularly hot and we still had the furnace going, plus hot studio lights, soooo with 7 takes...it was not a good time.

Speaking of shows, I mentioned earlier in the year about having 3 upcoming this semester, but never followed up on what happened with those.
The first, the news show, got 9 total episodes, and wrapped up this past Friday. Copyright issues plagued it at times, but overall it turned out very well.
The second, the client show, was a disaster. The client changed his mind and show focus over and over, leading to collected footage being null by the next meeting. The eternal headache eventually got pulled by the teacher, who undertook the project himself, and instead evolved our show to be a sports documentary. Since then its gone on to include a segment of arts pieces as well, as we won't have the time to crank out a full 27 minute documentary in less than 2 weeks. It's still being worked on, and will be a one-off, to be done by the 14th.
The third, the sports show, was unplugged very early in the semester. A very ambitious project by nature, it relied heavily on people being very available and willing. People tended to be busy, and accountability and communication were weak. At one point the show was planned to be done 'mostly in post', which in hindsight, was the writing on the wall of its demise.

The take-away? Structure is key to a project.
Something I'm keeping in mind as I build my essay...
