With the Game Grumps playing Phoenix Wright: Ace Attourney, I was finally introduced to a game I had never played or watched, yet knew of and even referenced before. To learn it's essentially a VN was mind-blowing, but I suppose I really should have just checked it out earlier.
This has kick-started a phase of me consuming media related to that franchise, and by extension, re-igniting interest in Harvey Birdman. (I've seen some parts of the series but I've yet to watch them all, there's also a reboot from 2018.)
This also has helped put VNs in a new light for me, as I saw them as more something meant for dating sims. (Which is why I liked DDLC so much, as it took that expectation and flipped it the bird, and then proceeded to flip the player the bird too. Good stuff)

I hadn't til now, but that was a good watch! I had heard of 'Project Libitina' in passing when I had my DDLC phase. The idea that DDLC was a free intro to get people interested in later games actually makes a lot of sense.
