[Business] Golden Silver

I have good news. I have bad news. The bad news has a silver lining!

I'm an optimist these days, so normally I'd tell the good news last. In this case though, I gotta tell it all in above order.

The good news is: I got a practicum!! There was confusion for a bit, as my e-mail account is glitching out and not receiving messages from certain addresses. The problem is yet to be truly resolved (And frankly I'm most likely just going to switch over to g-mail, there's no excuse for a multi-million dollar company's email service to have this issue. *cough* outlook *cough*) but after a back and forth I got in contact and a practicum was set!
It will run from early May til roughly late June. The goal is to complete 120 hours of work, whilst gaining experience and knowledge as much as I can to prepare me for the field at large.

The bad news is: I'm not going to Hometown for a bit, as I'm now too busy. The silver lining is though, that because this practicum timed in awesomely, August is kept open. It is very likely that in August I will visit Hometown.
More on that will come as plans get set, but for now, August is the month for Hometowners to look forward to.

Now I imagine the next question: What about moving back to Hometown?
Well my answer to that is... To Be Continued.
(hehehe)

[Health] EEG

That's no typo, I had what is maybe the final thing in the fiasco that was death by essays.
I had that test today, which will see if anything happened since then. It required a flashing light and short hyper breaths. All seemed to go well, though the breathing aspect felt very familiar, as it essentially simulated panic attack breathing. That part wasn't so pleasant.

Now it's simply a waiting game to see if anything comes up.

Aside from that I've just been trying to sort out practicum stuff. And soon to start studying for my exam, which is rapidly approaching...
It's might be my toughest exam yet. (Essays are dangerous!)

[Deja Vu] Sweet Freedom

I'm done my essay~

PTE will now resume to its once a week+ posting ways.

Maybe.

Also: Miitomo appears to be out of questions to ask me...I may have maxed it out...

[Deja Vu] If I ever make an RPG

If I ever make an RPG game, I'm making ridiculous enemies inspired by the likes of Undertale and Earthbound.

Save me from this madness

[Education] Rain

The Essay is wrecking my face in. I've put in solid work, I'm trying my hardest. But some things never change.

This week has been a bit brutal. The final news show was had, and it went off without a hitch! ...On the seventh take. The day we filmed was particularly hot and we still had the furnace going, plus hot studio lights, soooo with 7 takes...it was not a good time.

Speaking of shows, I mentioned earlier in the year about having 3 upcoming this semester, but never followed up on what happened with those.
The first, the news show, got 9 total episodes, and wrapped up this past Friday. Copyright issues plagued it at times, but overall it turned out very well.
The second, the client show, was a disaster. The client changed his mind and show focus over and over, leading to collected footage being null by the next meeting. The eternal headache eventually got pulled by the teacher, who undertook the project himself, and instead evolved our show to be a sports documentary. Since then its gone on to include a segment of arts pieces as well, as we won't have the time to crank out a full 27 minute documentary in less than 2 weeks. It's still being worked on, and will be a one-off, to be done by the 14th.
The third, the sports show, was unplugged very early in the semester. A very ambitious project by nature, it relied heavily on people being very available and willing. People tended to be busy, and accountability and communication were weak. At one point the show was planned to be done 'mostly in post', which in hindsight, was the writing on the wall of its demise.

The take-away? Structure is key to a project.
Something I'm keeping in mind as I build my essay...

[Update] Essay 3.0, Spider Army, Miimoto

This morning, the workings of my 3rd essay for my Gned class began. This final paper is set to be the toughest, though with what I've had to do in the past for essays, this one is actually a small fry.
With how I've failed in the past and how I've been getting the hang of essays (it seems) over the past few months, I'm filled with determination to not blow this one.
That and I missed the drop-out date soooo I'm locked in. Oopsie.

It's the best time of year; It's the worst time of year. I love spring; The weather is warm and everything is in bloom. There's rain, but it's not gloomy nor threatening yet. But there is one thing that I always forget about spring: Spiders.
I'm still a tad arachnophobic, so spiders crawling around on the ceiling...phases me.
Today I was real unlucky, and managed to get visited by 5 spiders.
All on the ceiling, all on different floors.
It's like a spider army is invading.
I'm afraid to kill any of them, as maybe it could trigger the rest to begin attacking. And what if there's more hidden in the walls? I can't tell how all the spiders got in.
I've at least spider-freed my room so I can sleep soundly. But I certainly have no plans for Australia soon...

I've started toying around with Nintendo's new phone app, Miitomo. It seems to be a facebook-esque Mii game with the basis being questions. I've swindled Dyland into joining, and have found certain other PTErs. I dunno if it'll take or not, the devs definitely gotta add more, but at least having it for a mini-phase...at least I was part of the launch!

Full post within 3 days! Granted its another Update, but I can only post about what life gives me...

[Update] A New Beginning

Yesterday's post got more of a response than I had expected.
I assumed most people would see it and either be like 'yeah ok sure bud' and ignore it or be like 'I see right through ya nerd'.
I appreciate the response, all along the lines of 'You leave, I leave' and 'RIGHT IN THE FEELS'.
To those who got caught up in my silliness, I apologize.
And wish you a Happy April Fools.

My posts have been getting a little more sparse as I've found myself a combo of busy and lazy. Too busy to post, or when I get a chance, too lazy as I finally get a chance to relax. It's a vicious cycle that's been happening since last year, but I suppose that's how life goes in general. I still am aiming for 3-7 days per post, though I'm sure the odd super length will slip through.

That all said, and if you're looking for tl;dr: I'm not going anywhere. I will continue posting and go down with my ship like a good captain.
Or I guess like a good conductor ...train jokes.

[Leisure] The End

I think everyone has noticed the lengthening time between posts.
I'm losing interest in PTE.

I've been at this blogging game for the past 5 years.
It's been a wild ride, full of experiments and learning and making mistakes.
But I think I'm growing past it.

It's awkward to just shut down PTE at this point, since it's getting a decent amount of viewership.
The responsibility of PTE should be passed on to Dyland, as he would be the last remaining PTE poster.
However, since his posting is so sporadic, I've decided to have PTE handed off to a different fellow broadcaster who has assured me she will keep posting.
I'm not going yet, as I will post until my Birthday, but then will be my final post.

I thank you all for the fun times, for commenting along with my silly posts, and for sticking with this for so long.
Long live PTE!

April Fools Nerds, you cant get rid of me.
